Jem are the people you need for Solar and Battery solutions - in summary! - in a little more detail:
After a wide sweep of local suppliers the team at Jem provided the best information at a great price.
Booking the install was also a pleasure - I wanted to book it some time in the future as other work was underway - Jem agreed to this but secured the equipment early to protect against price rises. I did make changes to timescales - and Jem just agreed.
Installation was a smooth process - even though I decided on a change half way through as to the size of the feed cable etc (turns out I am a nightmare customer!) but the install team took in their stride and adapted the design in real time.
Final solution is working really well. I can honestly say that of all the companies I have used during my recent projects that Jem have been the easiest and most helpful to work with. Thanks to the team!

The Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)

Available to all homeowners… the boiler upgrade scheme supports the decarbonisation of heat in buildings providing upfront capital grants to support the installation of heat pumps in homes and non-domestic buildings in England and Wales. 

On Thursday 21 September 2023, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero issued a change notice to increase the BUS grant level for air source heat pumps and ground source heat pumps.

Acting on behalf of property owners, installers can apply for: 

• £7,500 off the cost and installation of an air source heat pump 

£450 million of grant funding is available over three years from 2022 to 2025.

Store the energy generated IN the daytime and use it in the evening

Increase the self-consumption of your solar system

Battery storage can be retrofitted or part of a new installation
